    Reverse Lights

I'm having problems with a new car I bought. Its a 95 Camaro. The reverse lights blow the fuse everytime the car is put in reverse. Im thinking there must be a short or a ground problem. If anyone has had this problem before, or if anyone knows the wiring schematics of this circuit, the shared info would be greatly appreciated. Could this be the reverse light switch on the tranny? Probably not right, because it would just cause the reverse lights not to switch on, not blow the fuse....right??

    Thanks
    Dustin

Have you pulled the sockets out of the taillights to make sure they are alright? I have never seen it in the reverse sockets, but those taillight sockets tend to burn up. We can help you know where to look for the problem, but it's still gonna be a matter of hunting it down.

I pulled the lights out and everything seems ok there...I dont think that there is a short there....Thanks for that suggestion! Do you know where the grounds are in this circuit? And you dont think that the reverse switch would cause anything right?
    Thanks for your help!

If you can't find a short....it could be the back-up light switch on the tranny for the 6 speed....park/neutral switch at base of shifter for autos.

ok yes it is a 6 spd...but can the switch cause a short in itself...i guess the only way to answer that is to short out the plug and see if the lights work...?
