Reverse Light Switch

My 2000 SS keeps blowing the 20A TURN B/U light fuse everytime the shifter is put in reverse. Most likely, the problem is the reverse light switch. Does anyone here have the part number for this switch?

I see that several people have posted this same problem over the years, but no one has posted a part number.

GM P/N appears to be 14069600.

Have you figured it out? Have you checked the wiring? If the switch was bad or shorted it will blow the fuse all the time. I guess is possible.

If you can disconnect the plug to the switch, you can put a small piece of wire in the terminals of the electrical plug. pretty much you are bypassing the switch. If the fuse blows again then the problem is in the wiring and not the switch.
