I have owned my 2000 SS for 18 years and I am nostalgically getting ready to restore it which means putting more money into it than its worth.

Its all stock and has 167k miles on it. My first step is to get the engine out and rebuilt.

My question is, once dropping the K-member and removing the engine and transmission, what is the best way to move the car around while the engine is getting rebuilt so i can clean, fix, etc the rest of the car? Reinstall the K member minus the engine and trans? (not sure if that is possible).

Im gonna have a shop with a lift remove the engine and then have the "remains" rollbacked to my house for the remainder of the restoration. The engine will be sent out from the shop after removal.

Thanks in advance,
