    Angry Replacing a headlight

    I cant believe Ive found NO threads on this..

    Ok, so a headlamp went out.

    I went about bought one and now I am in the process of replacing it.

    Why cant this be an easy fix..?

    So! What size STAR SCREWDRIVER do I need?

    You do no have to remove the headlamp to replace a bulb, just turn the socket of the burnt out bulb left and it will pop out, then take it off the connector and install the new bulb. Do not touch the new bulb with your finger, it will leave oil from you skin and create a hot spot on the bulb and cause it to burn out quickly. Also those star screws are to adjust the aim of the headlight.

    No idea what size the torx are. Just get a set with the common sizes they will come in handy all the time, trust me!

    If he has an 93 thru 97, he has to replace the entire glass headlamp, and readjust using the leveling screws, if the vehicle is a 98 thru 02, it is a simple matter of twisting out the 9006 low beam, or the 9005 high beam bulb and installing a new one.

    If you have a trans am/bird you need a phillips head screwdriver and a t15 torx bit.

    Yeah mine was a bitch and i still couldnt get it to fit back CORRECTLY into the socket....
