replacing 241 heads for 317 heads.

i bought my car with a p1s procharger on it and i have a set of 241 heads on my car already. I want to bolt on this set of 317 heads i have. will this help my car? I read that there exact same as 243 heads just with bigger combustion chambers./ will i gain power or will this compresstion thing loose power?

It will lower your compression but i would have the car retuned after the swap

The heads will lower your compression, which is better under boost. Not to mention they should flow better than the 241 heads. You should see a decent HP gain, no 100hp or anything crazy but it will be better than 241's. Those are the heads I'm going to use when I get my turbo set up.

They're going to flow better than 241s and bump your compression down a bit. If I had a FI car I would definitely do the swap. This means with the same pulley you'll be running less boost (restriction). You should be able to swap pulleys and turn up the boost along with a retune.

So basically what we're saying is do the swap, it will be beneficial for you.

Agree with everyone else. How much boost are you currently running?

My gauge reads 5ish when I'm on it. I'm not actually sure what pullie is on there though. I'm gonna figure out what cam to run with my set up an change both. It only had 418hp at the wheels a few weeks ago so I'm sure it's gonna jump. I believe it has more now but until it's retuned,I won't know.
