Removed muffler Questions

I removed the whole cat back and i am running it straight out of the y-pipe. It is not too loud at idle but if you give it any amount of gas you will hear it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be getting my new cat back installed soom with a cut out.

Will I cause any thing to go wrong with my car running with no muffler?

shouldn't hurt anything-except your pocketbook if you get a ticket. I would keep a window open so you don't get gassed out from the exhaust fumes. At least an inch or so.
