Recommend a great Transmission shop in texas?
Can anyone recomend a great repair shop to get my manual transmission rebuilt and fix an oil leak, that might be the rear main seal? The transmission grinds when shifting to 3rd gear when you get the RPMs high. If you drive normal, it wont grind. I travel alot so any shop from san antonio to dallas would work great. Ive checked out a few places and they want the car for a couple weeks. Id prefer just a couple days, 4 at the most. Someplace that specilizes in LS1 s and the transmission.
Thanks a bunch..

With a short time frame like that, you might want to look into complete units already done and swap it. A few places offer that.
I don't know any shop that would rebuild what you have in just a couple days. Most places would want to tear it down before ordering parts, since alot of your basic rebuild kits won't have all the pieces and there could be something broken or worn inside that isn't considered "basic rebuild" and yet have to order more parts. This process could take 4-5 business days at the least, maybe more if parts aren't available or they have to come from different sources. Then time to rebuild, plus R&R time. Definately not a fast process. Just some things to consider.
