    Reasonable labor estimate?

This is the first time I've taken my car to a performance shop to get anything major done to my car and I just want to make sure that this sounds right. Long story short i need a new clutch so they're suggesting an LS7 clutch and flywheel, new slave cylinder, new throw-out bearing, new pilot bearing. 730 in parts and 550 in labor.

Will your mechanic take parts you bring to him??

LS7 clutch and flywheel are roughly $550 last I checked (granted, been a while). Plus slave at $120.
    Otherwise sounds about right.

That's pretty good, considering the price of the parts and labor...and the fact the shop is installing them. Some shops refuse to install parts that aren't sold by them.

The problem is I don't really have the capability to have parts shipped to me (live in a dorm, have a po box) or bring them to the shop(I left my only car with them and I'm 2hrs away)

Thanks for helping me out guys. I'm a newbie and that just seemed kinda high to me.

You have to know someone with a house nearby....

Still, the shop should take shipped in parts I would think. Otherwise, they are screwing you. Just my opinion.

Eh, they're like my friend's parent's houses. I don't know them that well so I would feel a little awkward asking them. And I'm pretty sure that this shop would take let me ship stuff to them, but I really don't mind going through them for parts.
