Reasonable labor estimate?
This is the first time I've taken my car to a performance shop to get anything major done to my car and I just want to make sure that this sounds right. Long story short i need a new clutch so they're suggesting an LS7 clutch and flywheel, new slave cylinder, new throw-out bearing, new pilot bearing. 730 in parts and 550 in labor.

Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
Will your mechanic take parts you bring to him??
LS7 clutch and flywheel are roughly $550 last I checked (granted, been a while). Plus slave at $120.
Otherwise sounds about right.2008 Trailblazer SS

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
That's pretty good, considering the price of the parts and labor...and the fact the shop is installing them. Some shops refuse to install parts that aren't sold by them.

Eh, they're like my friend's parent's houses. I don't know them that well so I would feel a little awkward asking them. And I'm pretty sure that this shop would take let me ship stuff to them, but I really don't mind going through them for parts.
