Rear end whine??

is it commen on a 2000 T/A ws6 6sp to have a rear end whine to it ,if not what could cause it,looking to buy one and owner states its commen on them,

yes, a whining rear end is pretty common. The rear end on our cars is very weak. They can break on stock power, especially with a 6spd.

Does it have the stock gears in the rear? If not it could be improperly installed aftermarket gears.

My stock gears in my old stock rear whined. Now, $2,800 later, my 4:11s in my Strange 12 bolt whine loud as sh%t. I wouldn't worry about it.
