    Rear defogger not working

When I bought the car it had tint on the back hatch. Of course it ended up being too dark and had to come off to pass inspection. I took it to a tinting shop and had them remove it as carefully as possible. Nonetheless, it messed up the rear defogger and I was wondering if there was a way to fix it or would I need to completely replace the rear window? Thanks for your help.

Problem is finding the break in the connection. You'll have to go over it carefully to see one. If the whole thing is out, check where the power comes in and also be sure there is power coming to it.

Yeah when I turn the defogger on it doesn't clear any fog or frost away so i guess the whole thing is out. Where do I check to see if the power is coming to it? Thanks for the help.

BEFORE YOU START CHECKING ALL THE CONNECTIONS!!. there is a lil plug on each corner, lots of people disconect when they have tint, ( thinking it might flake off or something, soo some just disconect.

or the tint place could of forget to connect it

Does the button light up? If not look at the DEFOG/SEATS breaker inside the car too. Also see http://shbox.com/1/defogger_grid_test.jpg

Mine used to work.. but hasn't for the last few months.. hit the botton.. and no light.. nothing.. but I havent looked at the fuses or anthying yet.. but I did have my floor jack in the "trunk" on the hump.. and hit the gas a little hard and it fell back into the cave... scraped the tint up pretty good in a couple places.. wonder if it broke a connection in one of the lines...

Well I checked the rear defogger last night. The plugs on either end went in a little further but it didn't make a difference. When I hit the button the radio almost sounded like it lost reception....very strange. So I guess I'll have to check out that grid repair kit.
