Do a search, I know that this has come up many times on other posts.

But just to give you a short answer:

    -Aggressive Cam
-Patriot Stage II Ported LS6 Heads
    -Fast 90/90 Intake
    -90mm TB
-SLP (or Any Cheaper Aftermarket) Lid
    -Cold Air Intake
    -Procharger
-If A4, stall converter and shift kit (no more power but you'll run faster)

You can leave off the heads...and you may not need a cam either.
500 RWHP is possible with bolt-ons and a blower. Just need more than 5-6 PSI to do it.

And you can't run a lid with a ProCharger.

Check the Nov '06 issue of Car Craft mag.....part numbers, prices (cheaper than you might think!), sources. 500hp on pump gas, and the best part...NO turbo/superchrger/nos...ALL MOTOR baby!

Are they refering to flywheel numbers??

Either way...500 wheel horsepower is still possible on motor and pump gas. I have one that does it.

....you sure know how to hurt us "slow-pokes".... I think it was at the flywheel. I was really surprised how little it takes to make our Ls1's do "warp nine"!

Heads/cam/bolt-ons and they move very well.

    Yeah...that don't hurt either.

But I wasn't refering to mine with that last post.
Even a stock cubed LS1 moves nicely with heads and a cam.

Since I don't have a procharger, I listed all the regular mods. Then I thought of the procharger. Haha...Sorry!

Mr. Luos, Why no to the heads and cam?? Can't you hurt the engine with just the stock stuff on there. I heard that the engine life would be shortened. Just a thought.

    Not saying no to them.
Just saying it isn't necessary to get to 500 RWHP with a ProCharger.

I wouldn't think changing the heads and cam would effect reliablitity. It will get more power though with aftermarket heads and a cam designed for a blower.

The article for 500hp that I mentioned is exactly that: basically "heads and cam" package, with displacment still at 346ci!! Gotta' luv it!
