Question about plugs w/ mods
I have always assumed my car had platinums in it. Well when I took one out to look at the condition of the plugs, I find out that its the NGK V-Power Copper 2238. I know it originally had platinums and the car only has 40K miles so I thought they would be original.
My question is: With cam, 243 heads, LT's, MSD wires and the rest of the bolt ons is there a reason the shop who did the work and the tune put coppers in or should I swap them out and go w/ the NGK platinums? Would the way the car is tuned react better to the coppers? I am pretty car theory savvy and would think to stay with platinums but there has to be a reason (or a mistake) for this.
Any input?!?

440 RWHP / 410 TQ- 2000 SLP CAMARO SS
Yeah, copper is cheaper than platinums and thats why the shop used them! Thats what I am thinking. My shop did the same, I replaced the coppers with platinums which did change my idle 200 RPM. The coppers were gapped at .40. I gapped the platinums at .55 and thats probably why. Either way, I will get a re-tune in a few months with the platinums in!

Silver & Black- 99 Camaro SS
Hold up, hold up. This ain't a Cobalt and we didn't take it in for oil, AF, and lube.
If I went and got some performance work done the ass-clowns better not just stick a set of anything in.
I think this rates them begging the question when it rolls in and a call if it didn't come up before they do it. This ain't some 12 minute plug job guys!

reason you didnt have platinums reinstalled is cause they arent recomended for performance.
with most NA setups TR55s are all youll ever need
if you run boost, n20 or high compression you run TR6

Well, its never run bad at all, and the ones that are in there are NGK V-power just like the TR55 but just a little different i guess... I will stick with them until the next tune up

How well do TR56s go for n/a?
Cause when im done with my build it will be a DD and I will have a tune for n/a and another for the spray which I will use every now and then.
