Silver & Blue- 02 Camaro SS, 04 GTO
Bad time of year to be selling your car due to the holidays and the weather. RWD vehicles do much better in the spring. The mileage will also hurt you even though we all know these engines run forever alot of people still think 100k and up is the end of a cars life. I think you should wait until spring if you can, if not, post it at 7995.00 OBO
Sorry about you losing your job.

Light Pewter Metallic- 2001 Camaro SS
Run it through NADA. That gives a more accurate value for your car than KBB.

4-6 is kinda low..
if i decide to sell it ill take all the parts i put on it, and sell them separatly.. that doesn't add more value to the car. i know when you put money on something never get it back...
true that, weather doesnt really help to sell a car right now, and the economy is not that great..
the car runs good with that mileage but i agree, after 100k people dont really want cars with that high mileage.
i'll try NADA and see what shows there..
im planning on starting my own bussines, and if everything goes fine, im gonna need a truck... that case i will have no other choice and sell it.
my thoughts are in the F250 diesel

I agree that $4k to $6k would be low, but in this economy, I've seen them for around that. At car lots too. There are a few factors working against your car, and some working for your car. The area you live in will have an impact on value too. I would ask higher, and be willing to drop some.

I don't like to put a price on a mans stuff, but the reality is that $6-$7,000 might be it for a hardtop 4th gen with high miles. Too many cheap high mile 4th gens out there to choose from to get any real money, and nobody wants to spend anything either.
I know jobs are tough, but I'd hang on to it if at all possible. What little money you get from it will dissappear quickly....$6,000 doesn't go very far today.

I know what you mean, I had a hardtop car myself. I only mention it because it limits your buying market, and reflects the asking price. To find someone that feels the same way you do is difficult at best. I would look at other venues if you are serious about selling, some of which will cost money. Craig list isn't the best.
