question about mods

this is kind of a stupid question but i was just wondering if anyone could tell me what some good mods are for a stock 98 z28

welcome and your question is asked all of the time so don't feel like it's stupid.


Let me ask a few questions first.

1) Any mods at all? like air lid, headers, etc?
2) What are your plans? Street/DD/Show?Track or any combo?
3) Budget?
4) Can you do these mods? Are you willing to? How much experience/do you have some tools?

These are some of the basic questions that everyone will be asking so I figured I'd try to get your answers first so it doesn't take 20 post to get it all out.

Like Smws6ta said.. what are you looking to do with your car? go look at the stickies in the other sections like external engine.. and there are a few other sites with all the "how to guides" you need to do ever mod under the sun... do your homework,,, good luck...

I'd suggest starting with the free mods ,then the basic bolt-on's, by the time you have them all done you should have a good idea of what your goal is with the car. Just my 0.02
