    power windows

Has anybody had any problems out of there power windows. My driver side went out and the passenger side is slow. My brother has a 98 SS and his drivers side has already been replaced and his passenger side is slow. I know that we are not the only ones with this problem.

I think Autozone has one that fits our cars and comes with a lifetime warranty. When it breaks again take it back for new one

You just drill them out, new motor should come with bolts/nuts - you can do it. Here's a couple links that should help:

    Re: power windows

on my 95 TA, I replaced both motors appeared to be first(paid for both)
on my 99 Formula, I had the passenger side replaced once, and the drivers side three times during extended warranty
the original owner had replaced both under warranty as well

thats four on my driver's door

My driver's side is now out on my 2000 SS and I'll change it myself soon. About three year's ago, the driver's side went out on my wife's 2000 V6 while still under warranty and the local Chevy dealer replaced it. She's had no problem since. Still, this problem is too common.

It's a known problem. Trouble is, our fbody windows are too big for the size motor they put in...
You can lubricate your channels with Silcone spray lube and it will help a lot with the motor not burning out prematurely... just insert the little red spray tube thingie into each side of your windows while they are down and spray em a couple of time.

Anyone have any price range on the install on new motors. I have 2 new motors in my back seat I need to get put it since I dont feel like dealing with the rivets.
