Power Window problem?
Hey guys, on my 2002 Formula the passanger side window will only work for a very short amount of time, typically 1 or 8 seconds. I will put the window down regularly but it will die on the way back up and it won't move, unless i wait about 10 minutes and try again it will begin to go up again only a couple of inches at a time. any thoughts?

Think I used 1/4", just slightly larger than the holes on the new motor.

Navy Blue- 1999 SS Z28
Hi, how did the changing of your window motor, come out? Any problems? My hubby and I both have 99 SS, my driver's window won't go all the way up at once, need to work with it to get it up all the way. Now today my hubby's passenger window did the same. Can you tell me just how hard was it to chance out the power window motor. And I've been told not to buy certain parts from auto zone. But I've heard their motor is better then the dealers. We have not changed out a door motor before. But don't want to pay the high dealers cost x's two since we have 2 cars with the problem. Can the unexperienced tackle this? I 've looked at the pic's and instructions on here, is it the same for a 99?

It's a pain, but not that hard. Take your time and follow the instructions in the shbox link. AZ motors are fine, keep your receipt so you'll never had to pay for one again. BTW, my buddy just did one on his on his 2K - not the original owner - it had been replaced before so he didn't have to find/drill the rivets.

Do it yourself for sure. The first one will take you a little while, but follow the instructions and you'll be fine. Then the second one wont take you as long, and after that you'll be a pro at it. And you have to be because these stupid motors are always puking out on fbodies and you'll probably be replacing them again soon lol.
