    1997 Formula & 2003 cobra

    Power steering wheel problem!

    Hi guys,

    my steering wheel is acting crazy.. it is sometimes turning, sometimes it is so hard to turn, it turns like normal a few inches and then gets harder (like the car is off)... does the same over and over.. basicly it is so hard to turn the steering wheel.. like trucks.. what do you think it could be?

    Check the fluid in your power steering unit. It could be low, A LOT LOW!

    Possible leak in system? suckin in air, cheack all hoses and connections, also could be rack and pinion.

    My 2000 Ss Has Been That Way For Awhile, I Tried Changing Fluid And It May Have Helped But I Think It Is A Pump Or Rack Problem.
