power antenna quick question

can you just swap out a standard antenna with a power antenna (plug and play)?? or do you have to run wiring??

Yes, you can swap it. I'd cap off the power wire though.

Wow I'm dyslexic.

You would need to run a power wire from the back of your radio. Should be a part of the wiring harness for this, but I'm not sure which one. You'll need to look up a wiring diagram. You can run one from your fuse box if it want it to go up when you turn the car on, but this would prove to be trouble some when taking to a car wash, if you do.

okay, thanks. i think my car came with power antenna but was changed by past owners. pritty sure the 25th anniversary t/a was fully optioned.

Look around the general area for some wiring, seems dumb of someone to remove a power antenna and replace it with a standard. Chances are if they are that dumb, they werent smart enough to completely remove all the wiring.
