Play in steering wheel
There’s play in my steering wheel. It will move towards the bottom left. What’s the cause or is this normal? Also how do I fix it if it’s broken.

Yes it is normal, and I have not found where anyone has found a true fix for it, which has worked for everyone. Though there are a few out there you can try

Our T/A does this as well. Most people I've seen opt to replace the entire column rather than dig in to find the issue. I've seen write-ups on it on 'other' sites, they have all scared me away from tearing into it. We recently had another member here need a steering column, I recommended American Camaro & Firebird to them, a local salvage that mainly works in 3rd and 4th gens. I think it cost him $165 with about 40-50 in shipping.

Most decent shops can fix it, if its in the beginning stages, some blue Locktite, and retightening the bolts will do the trick. If the holes worn either retap witha larger bolt, drilling a new bolthole near the original location, or use of a good/used column.
I ended up getting a used column but the tube collapsed in shipping and couldn't be pulled back, so my shop had to cannibalize parts between my column and the used one I bought .
Column is solid as new now, but took the shop about six labor hours to square it away, but mine was probably a worst case scenario; I wasnt getting any lucky breaks from fate!
