Planned mod path: suggestions, comments, flames?
I've been in deep contemplation about what I will be wanting to due to my car(well, I know what I want in the end) in the future and in what order I want to do it in. Just wondering what you other ls1ers think about my currently planned path. I would like any suggestions or comments so I may have a better performing car. (Flames are also accepted just so I may laugh at you)
This will all be going in a '99 M6 T/A WS6 with a current mileage of 47k
Current Mods
Borla Catback
Pro 5.0 short shifter
Mod Path
Couple of weeks: Subframe connectors and intake(Volant).
Over the winter: HPTuners(to get acquainted with the program and to delete/check codes during header install)
Spring/Summer: LT with TSP true dual sweet thunder extended to the rear.
Order of future mod plan with no intended date
1) Cams
2) Rear
3) Heads
Dreaming of(won't happen until this car stops being my DD) mods
1) 402/408 block
2) Nitrous
There will ofcourse be minor mods thrown in the middle of these bigger mods( any suggestions on what these mods should be?)
My biggest concern is the order of cams/rear. I'm not sure if I should swap my rear before I do cams, or can I hold off on the rear until after Cams. I won't be doing many, if any, hard launches (may go to the strip like once, if at all). This will be a 99% street car with most of the fun being on rolls.

the rear end is a flip of a coin you should be fine with it as long as you stay tru to the no hard take offs. and i would try to get the heads and cam in a pack so you know its all going to work and save you on the install but thats just my .02

I'm unlike most here,,,with that said I prefer to start at the back of the car first and put a rearend under it that will take the abuse. I've had some butt puckering experiences that made me rethink that path.
I understand the younger crowd here is on a budget though and they have to work with what they have. To each their own.

Yup, thats my situation. In college while working a part time job.
If I had the money I would definitely buy a rear first, but 1.5-3k can buy a lot of other goodies which are relatively funner than a rear.
