piston rings on a 98 ls1
ok so ive been hearing alot about the piston rings getting stuck or gummed up from the crappy pcv system.i've had my 98 ws6 for about 3 months now.when i first got it i put in some 5w-30 oreillys house brand oil.(i was broke)oil pressure sucked.then about 1500miles later i changed it again with some valvoline synthetic blend 10w-40.oil pressure is much better when car is heat soaked.i just added nitrous wet kit.someone told me to be concerned with the nitrous since ls1 engine are bad about rings being gummed up.is this true?if so..what is the proper procedure or best way to remove the deposits in the rings?how do i seafoam?
