Pin on vs Bolt on hoods?

What is the difference between the two? why is the pin on so much cheaper?

people dont like seeing the pins and people can open your hood from the outside by simply removing the pins themselves

The pin ons are cheaper simply because they don't have to manufacture the hood with all the structural pieces and parts necessary for a front latch mechanism.

There are different styles of pin on hoods as well, depending on what you are referring to. Some pin on all the way around without hinge supports,,,which requires you to lift them off.

Others simply don't have the front latch mechanism and only require pins in the front.
