Performance Mods Help!
Ok i just bought a 1999 automatic corvette coupe about 2 weeks ago. This is my first ls1. What is the first thing i need to do to it, without spending a fortune? I heard that being an auto, tuning it was the best thing, but what should i use to tune it with?

freeing up the intake and exhaust is usually a first to do....along with a good tune-up since you just bought the vette. HPtuners is one of the best tuner software if you know what you're doing and have a laptop of some sort. The software is pretty pricey....but so is a dyno tune and that's only a 1 shot deal. The vinci and predator are good handheld tuners....but they're $400 and are limited in what they do.

What exactly is a dyno tune? Do you have to take your own software to the dyno?
