PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND RETURN THE FRAM FILTERS AND EXCHANGE FOR SOMETHING ELSE!!
Fram oil filters are one of the worst you can passably buy. They are NOT anything near what they were in the past.
Great oil though.Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

Fram
Yeah you should read some of the post from their Quality Control Manager. Scary shit.
It's too bad how many think they are the best due to the name.
I get chills when people bring me their race cars with $10,000 motors and damn junk ass HP1 or HP4 oil filter...................

Light Pewter Metallic- 2000 Camaro SS M6
Slush, you started off very well with the PP--excellent oil, likely the best at that price...
Then you mention that 4 letter F word filter--horrible filter, likely the worst at any price... that extreme contrast drives us junkies to, uh.. well,... (nevermind, I'm not going back in there)
Then I read where the F-bomb filters are for your wife's Subaru. So, maybe you planned it that way because you hate that Subaru. OK, that makes sense.

The Subaru has 160000 miles on it and runs like a top! It has always gotten new fram oil filters on it every 3000 miles. My dads Honda Prelude runs great also and has 285000 miles on it, he uses fram also.
From what I've read, fram sucks! But, I can't complain, those two cars still run great!

I finished up some articles on filters and you guys are right! They do suck! I think I will try another brand for the Subaru! Are the Wix filters any good? Also what is the best paper air filter for the Ls1?

The best is AmsOil filters for about everything. You can get them from their web site for around $10-14 depending on the application.
Their filter media is made by Wix to a Very high standard.

Yes the second best in my opinion is Wix that are sold under the Napa GOLD line. There are different quality levels. It needs to be the Gold line.
And third is the K&N filter. Which is VERY close to the Napa Gold (Wix) but has another advantage that it has that 1" nut welded to the bottom which aids GREATLY on some of the race cars due to BIG header tube issues.

Yeah I put those Wal-Mart filters on the GF's Kia.
My TA gets the carquest version of the Wix filter.
The truck gets the Wally wourld special as well. No longer though. They changed the inside so it is nothing but plastic holding the paper in.
Take a look at them now. It is scary.

Advance Auto has a deal where you can get 5 quarts of Mobil 1 Extended Performance or High Mileage with a Mobil 1 filter for $26.98. Sale goes until the end of the month.
I just stocked up on 15 quarts and 3 filters, not even Walmart can beat that deal.
