    PCV Valve

97 Z28 A4. Manual says to check the PCV Valve by unplugging it and shaking to see if it rattles, or start car and check for vacuum. I did, no rattle or vacuum. Also appears to have no vacuum on the TB port. A little oil in the line also. Any help please?

Your PCV valve is plugged so you have excessive crankcase pressure that can cause you to blow seals and gaskets. Thats what happened to me so I'm changing the valve stem seals right now, I hope it's just the valve seals and not my piston rings. I fouled out 2 plugs cause of this.

It's your pcv valve that's clogged, not the hose, that's why it does'nt rattle when you shake it. Drop the 3 bucks and get one.

I believe on the 97, the "vacuum" line is in FRONT of the TB.. So you would not have any vacuum.
And the posts are right. Just spend 3 bucks.
