passing emissions?

ok, so this is probably going to be a stupid question but i figured you guys might be able to help. i have been wanting to get a full exhaust set-up, headers all the way back, but i live in illinois and have to pass emissions. is it possible to pass emissions without cats. i would have headers, ory pipe, maybe some cutouts, and true duals. any input would be appriciated.

Do they do a visual in your state? IF they don't you can have the codes deleted so you can pass by the computer. If your state does a visual however where they physically look the car over, you will need to find someone who will look the other way for a few $$$

yea in illinois all we have is the plug in obd-2 test - no visual. So you can get full exhaust w/ no cats cutouts etc. and be fine. You will just need to have any codes tuned out.

Yepp have the codes tuned out or drop in some 02 sims in the rear and you should be golden. As long as your check engine light isnt on.
