Parking Brake adjustment
Okay, I've done a search on this and maybe I'm completely missing something (or just stupid), but how the hell do you adjust the parking brake? I see where the single cable splits into two to go to each wheel, but I don't see where to adjust it.
I looked for flat spots at the end of the cable to put a wrench on it, but it didn't seem as though it was meant to be tightened. Is that, indeed, where it's to be tightened?

It seems to be asked a lot but the only reply I've seen is to adjust it where it splits into two cables, which, like I said, doesn't seem to be adjustable.

Thumbed through my helms and it says pulling the ebrake up 3 times is supposed to adjust the parking brake. Count the clicks like the owners manual says. There's also an actuator/adjustment wheel like the old days, but they use a special tool to measure it, along with measuring the thickness of the "shoes" and the inside of the rear brake rotors to be sure they're in spec. Sorry, not much help...

the adjuster for the parking brake is back by each wheel. think drum brakes. look at the backing plate and you'll see an oval rubber grommet. pull it out and use a flat head screw driver and tighten it up. the parking brake is a single shoe behind the rotor
backing plate is really dirty, but it's under where the spring and cable is at.

Is this a star wheel adjuster? I replaced my brakes at around 80K with Baer
Decellas and ceramic pads. About 1/2 year ago, I started noticing that if
I park downhill (forward) the parking brake slips, but if I park uphill (backwards) it will grab good. I did check the shoes when I did the brakes,
and they looked ok. Also noticed I get a little shudder if I get on the binders
hard going highway speed, but it don't pull. it goes away quick. Didn't do that
when I first put the new stuff in.

i was wrong about the rubber grommet thing. i looked on my car closer. you'll have to remove the rotor and adjust the wheel and slip the rotor back on. make sure it just barely gives you resistance to slide it over.
