    painted brake pads while painting caliper

    i was painting my calipers yesterday and i painted over the brake pad as well as the caliper, i just wanted to make sure that this was ok, its not gonna smoke and catch on fire or melt off all over my rims is it???? i would post a pic but for some reason i cant post attachments

    its fine if you used the high temp enamel paint

    yea i did use the high temp enamel, thanks for the help. i was waiting to go anywhere until i got someones input. thanks

    yeah don't worry. That paint is good up to like 1000 degrees or something. If its good enough for the calipers, its good enough for the brake pads. Plus its on the back of the brake pad so its not like thats touching the rotors really.

    does ur breaks squweak after u painted ur calipers cuse mine do ,i changed the breaks and still have have that squweak does anyone have this problem.

    No squeeling of my brakes after painting the calipers. To the OP: it will wear off, don't worry. Gotta ask though, why didn't you take the brake pads off first?

    the truth, i was too lazy, i painted them while they were on the car i didnt even unhook em. came out pretty good though. i just needed them to match the red brembos on the front tires.
