P1416 Trouble code

Check service engine soon light came on today. Went to Autobone and the code was P1416 which is air pump electrical ciruit fault, blocked air system or failed air pump. Anyone else had this problem. Its a 98 WS6 TA all stock with 110,000 miles.

The pump is pumping air, one less thing replace. I am thinking the P1416 code is for the passenger side read from a different post. Looks like stuck check valve or clogged port.

After I pulled the air line from the the pump, there was exhaust coming back from the exhaust side of the hose. Looks like it is the check valve or the dirverter valve. Any way to check the dirverter valve?

Sounds like a blown check valve. Pull the hose at the check valve and see if you have exhaust blowing back at you. The diverter valve can be checked with a handheld vacuum pump.
