I would've thought a possible vacuum leak except the car would be running different. That code basically means airflow is above or below expected. Go to gearchatter.com and look at the dtc list. That should help you understand what's going on and where to start. I would still be tempted to check for a vacumm leak somewhere and it wouldn't be a bad idea to clean the maf with maf cleaner while you're in there.

thanks for help first off... second where would be the first place to start looking for vaccum leaks?

check the pcv hose that comes out from under the front of your intake. Make sure it's not cracked somewhere. Then you can just start checking any vacuum hoses up there and the intact tract after the MAF sensor. That's kind of a long shot because usually a vacuum leak like that will show up as a high idle or something. Clean that sensor too. They make a MAF cleaner that you can get at a parts store....it's cheap.

ok thanks,i read on there that it could be a restricted exhaust system.... could the cats be bad? the car has 44,000 miles on it i heard that they where on recall...

I would focus on the maf myself....never heard of exhaust causing that code. There wasn't a recall on the cats to my knowledge....the warranty was extended to 10 years 120k miles. Your cats should be fine at 44k. Do you run an oil based filter by chance such as a K&N? If so that's even more reason to clean that MAF sensor.

yeah i do run the k&N filter.... how often should the MAF be cleaned? I sprayed it out last summer... is it extermely important that you use MAF cleaner?... cause i think i used TB cleaner

you definitely want to use MAF cleaner and not TB cleaner because unlike the MAF cleaner the TB cleaner will leave a residue. I clean my filter once a year but I only put ~2k miles a year on my car. I would say it depends on how dirty your filter gets. I have the FRA mod done and my filter gets nasty very quickly.
