OXY sensor thread size

I just got some ceramic coated headers and I noticed that some of the coating is on the ox sensor threads. What size are the threads so I can chase them and not booger up my new o2's

I think ots 14mm, but not positive. You should beable screw the sensor right in though, they will clean the threads as they go in

I think its actually 18mm. Its the same size as the big spark plug size. several companies sell spark plug and O2 sensor thread chasers like this double ended one from Lisle

Why dont you just use one of your old sensors as a tap?

I had to use that exactly when installed my wideband. Pretty sure its a 18mm.

Ok looked it up, there are a few 14mm, but the most common are 18mm x 1.5 pitch threads

thanks to all. I got a spark plug tap from NAPA, KD tools number 730 for only 8$. The threads were really coated, it would have for sure boogered up the oxy sensor threads
