1998, leather interior, t-tops, manual, interior in great condition, exterior in good-great condition. Garage kept. $9,000.. Is that a fair price?
Also what do ya'll think of the mods? What would ya'll guess the RWHP to be and how much from the flywheel?

It is basically a stock car. I don't think it would put down more than 320 hp if that.
How many miles on it? If I was gonna pay $9k for a '98 it would have less than 45k on it. Anything more than that and you can find a better deal.

I just paid $7500 for a 1998 Z28 with 72,000 miles garage kept and all that .. how many miles are on it?

That car did NOT make 358hp with the listed mods. He is lying, or stupid.
*edit*
I see it is 'flywheel' hp. When you run on a dyno you are putting down rwhp, not flywheel hp - that is only a guesstimate based on what % of power you are losing through the drivetrain. IMHO flywheel hp is useless unless you are figuring out what kind of drivetrain you are putting behind a race engine.

So I think we are all in agreement that $9k is too much.

I guess it would all depend on what part of the country you were standing in. I think for where I live that sounds like a decent price. My .02

maybe too much, but if it really is in great condition inside and out it may be a fair price also. It is leather, 6-speed etc. We havn't been told how many miles it has yet

Though it's in near new condition exterior and interior wise. There's just no other options for me right now. I want a 98-02 Black Z28 or SS, with t-tops, manual and leather interior. And I can't find that for under $10,000 within 500 miles of zip code 28079. I've searched cars.com, autotrader.com and a couple others.. Any suggestions?

Keep looking. There will be other options out there you just need to wait for them. Don't buy the first thing you see.

What other websites can I search for cars on?

ebay?
autotrader.com and cars.com are the biggest ones I know of. You can surf around on the for sale sections on this board and like ls1tech.com's for sale section, but you probably won't find one close to you.
That price also doesn't seem that high to me. But I havn't looked at prices in a while, so...

If this car is through a private party then the KBB on it is close to $8,100....retail is $10,100....in my zip code the private party value is $8,700.
I'd say talk him down if you can, it sounds like he's trying to get the money back that he put into some of his mods. Even if you can only talk him down to 8,500...it's better then nothing.
