You don't need to pull the trans to do a shift kit. You just have to take out the valvebody.

doing teh shift kit is easier than dropping the trans... the damned TDC bolt pisses me off... i need like 3' of extensions and a damned swivle socket to get ot that bolt...

I thought that was installed already. If you can pull it then I am sure you could install the shift kit. Follow the directions and you should be fine.

did you miss the TCI 3500 SF Stall, in his list?

Spaz, I get the bell housing bolts with 2 18" ext, but i take out the xmember 1st, and then lower the trans jack as much as possible. makes it a breeze. (if the xhaust is off... )

when I pulled my tranny the first time I used a whole bunch of 3" extensions and it seemed like that flex they had worked better than the 24" extensions I used the second time. It just takes some patience really. The first time I had a buddy here to help and he was laying at the front helping me guide the socket on so that helped a lot. The second time I got it by myself......with some cussing involved.
