One Headlight won't close

So my passenger side headlight won't close. It sounds like there is power getting to it as well as getting tugged a bit,....but it just won't go down. Any ideas?

ON that particular side I also switched the gear 180 degrees because it was making that horrible sound when you closed it. It worked great for the last 3-4 months.

Any have an idea why it won't close?

sounds like the gear finally stripped out. Look into getting the brass gear replacements
