    old chevy head id help

    im trying to buy an older car to drive when i dont want to get my 02 dirty. problem is i cant get to id # on heads car is being sold as is. im looking for a way to id them from the casting marks. found some info they might be 882s so its suppossed to have flattops which would give very low compression. does anyone have a good online source for this. thanks
