    Which oil pump?

Trying to choose between a LS6 oil pump $110 or a Melling High Volume Part #: 10296 for $140.

This will be going in the LQ4 build.

    It will have:

    LQ4 block, stock crank
    LS2 pistons
243 heads with the rockers having the Comp Cam Trunion Upgrade.
    LS6 intake & VCT
    LS2 timing chain

Cam is yet to be determine, looking between the Tick Polluter stage 3, Vengeance VRX5 or 6, or Pat G custom grind

So which pump would you go with?

Both are good. I used a ported LS6 on m Head/Cam/Intake LS1 and now have a Melling in my 427 LS3. Both did their jobs

If you're going FI down the road, I would get the Melling so you have the extra oiling power for the turbo or supercharger.

I would buy a Melling over the LS6 personally, not that there is anything wrong with the ported ls6. Especially with a stroker engine, you are going to want a higher volume pump. I bought a Melling and it is really nice. This is my order of preference Melling>ported ls6>stock.

I would definitely say it is. I would order it from the WS6 store as well. It was cheaper with free shipping as well when I ordered mine.
