so i am under the assumption that my oil pump must be aftermarket due to the fact that when at operating temp. i am at 60...... with 15869 miles

Our oil pressure (hot) runs around 40 at idle and 60 plus up in the rev range. I always take the stock gauges to be an approximation at best. If there is concern, plumb in an aftermarket or master pressure gauge to check it.
