    oil leak

Over the past few weeks I've noticed oil on my pavement where I park, I didn't really think much of it until my low oil light came on yesterday. After taking a look under the car I found that all the seals and oil plug were dry, so I tried to follow the oil trail and it lead towards the back of the passenger side of the motor, towards the back of the intake manifold. My first guess was a cracked OPSU leaking oil, but isn't that on the driver side? Any ideas?

Get someone with small arms to reach back there while it runs. Another option is to get a dye and black light and try and follow it that way.

I'm guessing intake manifold or rear main seal..

it's a very small amount so I'm not too worried, but my dad is taking it to his shop thurs. They're going to take the manifold off and see if they can find the leak. Once they figure it out i'll update

no oil flowing through or to the intake.....probably meant valve cover. I'd check there or the rear main.

I had the same problem, and it turned out to be a cracked oil pressure sensor that sits behind the intake manifold. It is made of plastic.

They had to remove the intake manafold (ofcourse) to get to it.

YUP! that was my problem, I pulled everything off yesterday and it was cracked. After my dad took it to his work to replace it they also found a clogged pvc valve? which was causing pressure to build up which was making the leak from the sensor worse.

well that doesn't exactly make sense. The PCV doesn't have anything to do with engine oil pressure, but a plugged PCV can cause high crankcase pressure and that cause seals and gaskets to blow out and leak oil.
