    Oil filters

So while trolling around youtube after a crank call was recorded and posted I cam across this video.

good info on quicky lube places and oil filters. IF this isn't enough to make you spend the couple of extra bucks for that WIX or Napa gold, park your car. I don't know what the second filter is but the first one is a dead give away.

I guarantee you that I would go after a damn place that strips out my oil plug hole and tries to pull that crap!!!

Napa Gold filters are what I use now. That, AC, or Wix.

I think Mobil 1 filters are okay, but overpriced, and definitely no better than Napa Gold.

What Fram is selling is unethical. It only resembles an oil filter.

They are expensive but I've been using the K&N HP-2006 extra capacity filter for the past 2 years with Royal Purple 10w-30.

I didn't want to do it.... But here is a pretty comprehensive Timken test (bearing vs race) to compare load and friction scar with each oil sample. Royal Purple is pretty impressive in this test but in a motor the Used Oil Analysis is the real measure of how effective an oil is in your own application.

Lmao. Ask Sarge how he feels about the Timken test. Royal Purple too for that matter.

What about the Fram doubleguard or step up and Purloator (step up)? How are Reg AC Delco?
