Oil Change Light Interval

Okay, I know many of you guys are going to say "change it every 3000 miles" but my question is, on average how many miles has it taken for the oil change light on the dash to come on telling that it needs an oil change? I know it is made to account for RPMs, engine temp and other factors when determining it is due but I just want to know how many miles it has taken for some of yours to come on.

I know that the mileage is not preset and the interval would vary with each car and how it is driven. I just wonder how many miles you guys go before that light comes on, if you wait that long.

I get about 4400 to 5500 on valvoline full synthetic and a bosch filter before the light comes on. (2002 Z28)
I drive almost all highway.
On my mom's car its between 2500 and 3500. (same oil, same year, just a lot of short trips)

I change my oil every 3000 miles and I only reset mine when it comes on and the last 2 times it came on around 5500 or 6000 miles. Basically it comes on around every 2 oil changes for me. Mix hiway and city driving.
