For about a month now my oil change light comes on when I start my car but goes off after about 3 min. I just got an oil change and the oil isn't low at all, anyone know what this could be????

It needs to be reset. It comes on every 4 or 5 thousand miles (correct me if I'm wrong)

There are a couple of ways to do it.

If I remember correctly, go turn your car to the on position with the engine off, and pump your gas pedal 4 or 5 times. That should reset it.

There is another way that involves the trip reset, but evertime I tried that one it cleared the trip meter as well, and I like to keep an eye on my mpg.

push and hold your Trip-Set button until the oil flashes on the dash.

Yes, like that. I just had to reset mine, you have to hole it for like 12 seconds, then it will flash. Turn the car off then back on and it should be reset

Mine comes on everytime I start the car. Goes off after a few minutes.

It doesnt even bother me, I know when I changed my oil, I know when it needs to be changed. The light means nothing to me.

The best way to know how to reset the light is look in the owners manual. My car didnt have one when I got it but I surfed enough firebird websights to find one to download for free.
