You have a couple of options with the OEM PCV.

    This thread may help you.

It explains the differences between the OEM PCV and the LS6 mod

Just installed a catch can on our car made by Elite Engineering. It is a nice quality unit with a good mounting system.

ok i'm still a lil confuse lol sorry i'm kinda slow but i like to ask questions so i can learn. If i'm not mistaken and correct me if i'm wrong please, the pcv system comes out the back of the driver side valve cover goes around the intake (ls6) splits and one hose goes into the back of the passenger side valve cover then the other to the front passenger side into the intake, (there is also a lil hose the comes out the front passenger valve covers into the top of the throttle body)

now the catch can only has two connections. One goes connected to the passenger side of the ls6 intake were the pcv use to connect, but what about the other one? do i run it under the throttle body to the rear off the driver side valve cover? and what port's do i have to cap out?

You pull the PCV return hose from the passenger side of the throttle body. This then connects to the top of the can and the side outlet on the catch can goes back to the throttle body.

I made a catch can with pvc pipe parts that hides n the compartment with the lights on the passenger side where you open from below to change bulbs. It's two stages and works awesomely and leaves the engine bay looking clean. Costs me $8 and two hours of fiddle-fart'n around. I have step by step pics of the design, build, and install and will email or post if I can get the pics off this phone to upload.

The return hose goes to the intake behind the throttle body.

I capped off both valve covers in the rear. The LS6 VCT that I have has the pcv integrated into the cover. So I still have a PCV. There are 2 versions of the LS6 VCT. Older one has no pcv, the newer one does. I can get a part number if needed.

Yes you can run a catch can using the OEM PCV system. Instead of coming off the PCV to the intake you install the catch can there. Just the same way I have in the pic just that instead of coming off the LS6 VCT it will come off the OEM PCV.
