    How many quarts of oil does a stock ls1 take ?

    Go for a high speed run and your PCV system will suck that 1/2 quart out in a hurry. Seriously, a little extra is not a huge issue but if you can easily drain some back out it certainly is best to run it at the recommended level. I would check it first on a level surface before you go dropping any to be sure.

    Put 6 qts in my old motor. Put 6 in the new motor, but since this was the first LOF on the new motor, I will be going with 5.5 from the next LOF on.

    Jus went into the garage and let 1/2 qt out , oil level is perfect now Thanks!!!
