    OEM Bolt Size

The previous owner of my car put zinc colored bolts and washers in place of the black OEM ones on the headlight brackets, air box lid, etc.

What is the stock size and head of the OEM bolts and washers? 9mm?

Unsure if it applies in your case but 6mm was a popular size bolt used on the air cleaner covers and other small items.

That does help me. They are 6mm. However, the ones I need for the air box are pretty long, and the hardware store only had them 1" long. I'll need to find ones about 1-1/2" for the air box.

Yeah, for $13.99 a bolt lol. Plus, parts departments are closed on Sundays, and I had the idea of changing them today.

And no offense, but your idea was the first thing I thought of, but I appreciate the effort in answering my question.

Do you have an ACE or True Value hardware store near? THey usually stock a much larger assortment than anyone else.

Alternately look for a hardware supplier in the yellow pages or http://www.mcmaster.com

I did find some at ACE Hardware, they were on the only ones that had the shorter ones. I resorted to calling the Chevy dealer and having them order them for me.

I'll make sure to post the exact sizes once I pick them up - in case anyone else ever needs them in the future, they can find them with a search.
