Octane rating for gas.........US vs. AUS
If I am in the wrong forum, Mods please move me. I was looking at a twin turbo system that claimed very good gains. What I was wondering is what the difference is between our gas and Australia's. Someone from there told me that their 98 octane is equal to our 92 octane??? I did not know that there was an exchange rate on gasoline. Anyone with any knowledge on this subject or any other differences between our fuel and theirs would be very helpful. Thanks

The difference is about 5 points, in favour of AUS. This is because the US rates ocatane as MON and AUS rates it as RON.
oz -- us
91 -- 86
95 -- 90
98 -- 93
Or thereabouts
