    O2 sensor difference?

My daughters 01 formula keeps popping up the code P-0430 and I decided after 151K miles the sensors are bad. I already had the cats replaced some time ago under the warranty program. The on line websites show differant part numbers for some of the sensors. I thought from reading past posts they might all be the same. The one site I was on has them about $20 dollars less than the local parts stores. They show Walker and Denso brands which might be the best? They are both direct install no connector plug assembly.

Denso is a good brand, as far as the sensors the only difference is the length of the wire harness. The sensors themselves are all the same.

yeah, they have different part numbers but will work in either position. To possibly save yourself some money swap the rear sensors from one side to the other and see if the code follows it. If it's the sensor you'll start throwing p0420. Just about everytime I've seen that code it's a bad cat though. I know you said you replaced them but how long ago was that and what cat was put in, OEM or aftermarket?

so... what then, they have no connectors on them? If that is correct then you will need a terminal removal tool to take the old sensor's terminals out of the connector, and you will need new seals and terminals (and a way to make those crimps) so that you can terminate the new sensor in the old sensor's connector... Just wanted to be sure that you were clear on that.

Both cats are OEM from Pontiac. Ehat I meant by direct install was they already are asssembled ready to install. As far as swapping sensors she only comes home from college every now and then and I think I would rather just replace them and get it over and done with. These are the sensors I was looking at.

I bought the same Denso Pre-Cat sensors that appear in the link you gave. Yes, the sensors themselves are identical, but the attached cables are different lengths, to suit left side and right side fitment.
