    Noise from rear? any ideas?

Since I bought my car Ive noticed a slight ticking noise coming from the rear, and recently it seems to be getting a little worse.

under power its hardley noticable but when I let off the throttle it makes noise and when Im turning it gets a little worse. Could it be my rear end going bad after only 40k ? any input is appreciated...

could be anything really. From a worn out bushing or a loose bolt squeaking. could also be u joint. Try pin pointing the noise or eliminating some possibilites. Drain the diff and see what comes out. It could go out at any mileage but isnt likely unless ya beat on her.
Just take a look around and shake the car a bit and see if you can hear the noise.
