No power steering at low RPM's

At low rpm I have no power steering, it not a big deal it's just kinda annoying when trying to back up and such(keeps mom from driving it), does anyone else have this problem?

have you checked your fluid. more than likely you need a new pump my man. If you put it in neutral and rev your engine up to like 2500 rpms then you can steer right?

yep, it works when the rpms are up and goi down the road but not at an idle

I believe mine has done this since new and never had anybody give a good reason or find the problem. My fluid is full and I tried changing it also, really happens in slow parking when you have to turn alot without alot of speed

if it is tight and you have no power steering at an idle then you need a new pump. Not hard to replace.

Does it make noise?
Have you bled the system?
