    No low end power

I just replaced my tranny about a month ago, and since then, I have had no low end power at all. I thought the plugs might have something to do with it, but I just changed plugs and wires and there is no change. My service engine light is on, and I'm guessing that I messed with a sensor or something during the tranny swap. Any ideas on what the problem is would be helpful.

first step is to get that code read and see what it says.

Im assuming its an auto, but it could be any number of things, but seeing as you just messed with youre tranny, it might have something to do with that. Youre torque converter clutch might be stuck in the engaged position, so its constantly directly engaged to the motor, not allowing the torque converter to do its job and "multiply the torque" to get things going, so it feels sluggish at take off, but at cruise everything seems fine. Im not entirely familiar with the 4l60e, but based on common practice, it might just be the tcc solenoid that you didnt reconnect, so the computer just puts it in direct drive as a safety precaution.

I got my Predator tuner in and it turns out it was the MAF sensor that was sending codes. I put my aftermarket one on, and it still sent a trouble code, but ran great. I put the factory one on again after cleaning a piece of grass out of it, and it still runs like shit, so im thinking its time for a new MAF.

I cleaned it up and got all the grass and whatnot out of it, and yeah, it was the low input code. im not too sure what that means, though.

the maf works by returning a certian voltage for how much air is being worked through..thats where the code comes from. However you will get that error if you unplug your maf for cleaning and start the car..i would get it checked and cleared...after that see if the code comes back up....if i have to guess..i would think that the maf sensor/sensors got damaged durring the uninstall or storage...since you had an aftermarket maf correct?

its also worth noting that if your maf for any reason is not functioning or not plugged in..the car will go to a Speed Density tune....i would think that your low end ...or lack of low end would be due to the fact that your car might be running SD...does your car have sort of a poppy sound to it..exhaust wise? almost like a loppy cam..but only a brief bit.

i never noticed any difference in my exhaust sound, but i went to the local camaro salvage and picked up a used MAF pretty cheap, so im gonna put that on tonight and see if that fixes the problem. And my battery was unhooked any time we were messing with the MAF.
