NO CODES but still have problems
- NOTE: This is a carryover from a P300 Missfire thread... Figured I would make a thread more specific to my issue -
Ok This is getting stupid.....
I put in a STP air filter to solve the possible problem with the K&N oil. cleaned the MAF with MAF claener. cleaned out the TB. Put the EGR back on put the air pump back on. STILL have the problem... seriously... WTF. I have a basically stock car with SLP loudmouth 2, SLP lid, SLP smoothflow elbow, and LS6 heads(Heads aren't problem had it before the heads.
NO CODES. nothing.. just a lack of power at low RPM...somtimes and a frequent stutter at abou 2k RPM.
I also have frequent back fires on downshift slowing.
NEW plugs and wires
have reset PCM and sometimes it goes away for a bit sometimes it doesn't when i reset it.

Was doing some reading on others issues and what they did to fix was reading about O2 sensors causing this... ...?? ??
I check my O2 Sensors in the front but the look fine a light haze black coating but nothing that looks too out of the ordinary to me... but I have no idea what they shoudl look like
I should mention that when this problem first came around it was a gradual problem... happend every blue mmon then more and more often as time went by(daily driven)
On another post the guy had a pick of his spark plug and everyone said it was shot so what are they suppossed to look like
I have put 10k or so miles on it since replacement of the plugs and I used Bosch platnium 2 when i replaced but the problem was there before the replacement. Replaced with MSD wires as well.
I am loosing hair over this guys
Help a guy from going bald before he reaches 30!!!!!!

damn this is an old thread.
last i found out, it was the MAF that needed to be replaced. but before i got it replaced i had to sell the car. the new owner to my knowlage replaced it and hasn't had an issue anymore. i had a spare one laying around that another member gave me mabye someone else has one that you can have or give a try. I would try cleaning it first.

Have you taken it to get a dyno tune since you put mods on, its expensive but they can diagnose what is going wrong throughout the rpm band. Sometimes after mods the car does not breathe right, if you put full exhaust and no induction the car loses back pressure, if you do induction no exhaust cant get rid of pressure, nothing like a good tune and 10 guys standing around a dyno to help you out.

I did have a dyno tune done by a LS1 specialist but he didnt see anything but tuned until the detonation was minimal. He is an hour away and said to call him if it still did it but Im so frustrated I just havent.
